WHAT I LEARNT TODAY
My class ended early tonight. I was so happy getting back home earlier than my scheduled time. I love my bed and i have missed it for the past 11hrs, lol.
Anyway, what did y'all learn today? well i achieved most of my goals for today
BLOGGING HERE I COME
Hmmm.. lol, I know the rate at which my fellow ones especially Nigerians would have started opening different blogs by now, I can imagine. Lol, who doesn't want to be rich? Not especially the rate of poverty and unemployment in Nigeria. Man must survive o. I'm not left out biko, lmao.
Mehn Linda Ikeji has inspired many including me. When I read about her new house I was amazed, Choi "she no get two heads o" me too I'd rather be self made, abi now.
Like she said it's hard work and consistency. It ain't easy especially juggling between school work, grad assistantship work and blogging. I can tell you blogging ain't easy. I started this in 2013 and I stopped cos I couldn't keep up with it.

FATHERHOOD
I
became a father one dusty, quiet harmattan morning precisely on February 17th
1998. I was going on thirty, and as my wife was led into the labor room I felt a
surge of inexplicable pride, little did I know the events that would unfold; that
I would experience a turnaround in my spiritual existence never occurred to me.
Nothing
had prepared me for the admixture of trauma and joy I experienced that morning.
Felicia never complained about any excessive abdominal pain nor was there any
warning from the doctor that the birth would be difficult. I was awakened
around 3:00 am in the morning by the sounds of Felicia groaning and holding her
lower waist. As I rushed to take her to the hospital different emotions swirled
through my body. I was happy that the baby is finally on its way and panicky
because I kept worrying about everything going wrong. In fact; I worried
because I thought things were going wrong. In my frenzied state of mind I kept
her in the car, got in, and slammed the door shut before I realized I had left
the ignition key in the house. I opened the door dashed in and was out running
in no time. I started the car and put my leg to the gas pedal. Thankfully the
streets were deserted as it usually does at that time in the morning. I sped along
the highway and made it to the hospital under five minutes.

PLS DO NOT IGNORE!!! AFTER READING THIS ON AN ONLINE NEWS, I THOUGHT TO SHARE: NIGERIA'S RUTHLESS HUMAN TRAFFIC EXPOSED
Pls do not ignore, Take your time to read through. Seriously I never knew the extent of gruesome activities human traffickers indulge in until I read through this article. Do not assume this is too long, i encourage you to read through the end. It is worth it. It will only take less than 10 mins of your time. Wow!! This lady needs
to be commended, she risked her life trying to investigate this. (I'm still shaking).
Six out of 10 people who are trafficked to the West are Nigerians. PREMIUM TIMES investigative reporter, Tobore Ovuorie, was motivated by years of research into the plight of trafficked women in the country, as well as the loss of a friend, to go undercover in a multi-billion dollar criminal enterprise. She emerged, bruised and beaten but thankfully alive, after witnessing orgies, big money deals in jute bags, police-supervised pickpocketing, beatings and even murder. This is her story.

Gun Men attacked Bachelor's Party in Borno; 8 people Killed
LEADERSHIP-
No fewer than eight persons were reportedly killed yesterday in Maiduguri by
suspected Boko Haram members.
According to a report by Reuters,
the gunmen stormed a venue of a bachelor party and started shooting
sporadically, killing eight persons on the spot.
Nigeria President Goodluck
Jonathan ordered an all out offensive against the northeastern rebels in Africa’s
leading energy exporter.
Though they retreated into a
hilly area around the Cameroon border, the rebels have since stepped up attacks
on both soldiers and civilians.
“Three Boko Haram members came on
motorcycles at about 11 yesterday night,” Abdul Usman told Reuters in the main
northeastern city of Maiduguri, where he fled after escaping the attack on
Tashan Alade village. “They were shooting indiscriminately.”
Nigerian forces have stepped up
the offensive against the rebels in the past few days after Boko Haram fighters
armed with grenade launchers and anti-aircraft guns attacked an army barracks
in the town of Bama.
